Boxing Champ's Shorts to be Auctioned off for Charity

According to Angelo Dundee, Roman Greenberg "has the fastest hands for a heavyweight since Mohammed Ali." At the age of eighteen, Greenberg won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships in Budapest. He has won all of his twenty-five fights as a professional, including seventeen KOs. The twenty-four-year-old fighter is ranked 24 out of 1064 professional boxers and is currently the International Boxing Organization's heavyweight champion.

The online backgammon and game site BackgammonMasters has decided to sponsor Greenberg, who is currently training in England, in his upcoming fights. In order to do so, the game company has purchased Greenberg's famous boxing trunks, which sport a Star of David. The company intends to auction off the shorts and will start the bidding at $100,000. The Russian-born Jewish fighter moved to Israel in his youth and served in the Israeli army, and to honor his support for the State of Israel, the company will donate the proceeds to organizations assisting Arab and Jewish youth in distress.

BackgammonMasters' site offers online backgammon, poker, and provides exclusive software for the Spanish dice game Perudo. The managers of the online backgammon game company believe that sports can bring together people of different backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions.
