Up, Up and Away

The Wright brothers dreamt of flying but they probably never thought their dream would spawn a technological boom on aircrafts and flying machines. Over a hundred years later, we now see them in all shapes and sizes – from the simplest air balloons and powered parachutes, to blimps and dirigibles, to gliders and biplanes, seaplanes and helicopters, to turbo jets and tiltrotors and more.

With more people taking to the skies, aircraft and aviation technology experts around the world are constantly pushing the envelope to manufacture and develop aircraft that respond to the growing needs and demand of a booming industry.

Now the challenge points toward creating lighter aircraft, more fuel-efficient engines, yet able to accommodate more and with ample room for the passengers’ and users’ comfort.
