What is it with people and the need to break records? I just don’t get it. Especially, when it involves a serious health risk, as it did when David Blaine held his breath under water for seventeen minutes and four seconds on Oprah’s live TV show. He broke the record of a Swiss man. Moments after emerging from the tank of water where he had held his breath, Blaine was able to take hold of the microphone and tell Oprah and the audience that he felt great.
